Whilst we love a really well-made Sauvignon Blanc or Malbec as much as the next wineo, it’s the other 9,998 grape varieties found around the world that intrigue us more. These are varieties that have been grown in their locale for decades, centuries or even millennia. The resulting wines are rooted in local folklore, regional gastronomy and religious culture and will bewitch the adventurous drinker with unique characteristics that mainstream ‘arrivistes’ can never match.
